You will work with authentic Thai ingredients to create popular Thai dishes, including learning how to make your very own green and red curry pastes. Impress and delight your friends with your Thai cookery skills.

All courses are taught by our skilled chefs. Our school is positioned in Abinger Hammer, a delightful and picturesque village in the heart of the Surrey Hills. The school provides each student with a fully equipped kitchen and all necessary ingredients and equipment. We believe in hands-on, practical teaching – so be prepared to roll up your sleeves!

    This was a very relaxing and fun day. I learned some techniques and flavours, had an excellent lunch (of course, I had just cooked it!) and went home with some ideas which will change my cooking and some pleasant memories. Jake, our chef, was good company as well as a good (and patient) teacher. I will be back!

    This was my first course, it came highly recommended and after it’s postponement due to Covid was thoroughly enjoyed. I learnt so much re curry pastes and ate well and bought food home for another day. The chef was patient. Coming back with the recipes was fantastic. Can’t decide what to do next!!!

    This was an excellent course – easily the best Thai food I have eaten in the UK. Jake was a fantastic teacher as always. We made quite a lot of food, enough to have a lovely meal (served with a glass of wine) and then take quite a bit home too. My husband and I did this course together and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Jake also made mango rice which was amazing. We have done 4 courses at Abinger now and have booked a 5th – such a fun day out – would definitely recommend.

    We thoroughly enjoyed this course – Lots of good hands on, great recipes, nice to learn some new skills and techniques. We had a great group too so it was very much a fun experience. The food we cooked was amazing and Jake was a patient and engaging teacher. Would happily recommend!

    Really great day. Bought this as a joint Christmas present for my wife and I. Very small group (lovely people) and Cat was a really good host / chef to us for the day. Very knowledgable and made it all feel so easy. We cooked some great meals, had some there, and plenty to take home too (we had the green curry the next night, it was delicious!), I’ll never buy a Thai curry ‘kit’ again! Will definitely look at some of the other courses. Thank you.
