Participant Waiver Information for DofE and Chalet Courses
This page outlines the information you will be asked to provide and agree to when signing the official online waiver for participation in DofE and Chalet courses at The Abinger Cookery School.

Medical Information: You will be asked to provide details of any allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions that may affect you during the course. This information is crucial for ensuring your safety and well-being. If you have no conditions to report, you will be required to confirm this.
Inappropriate
- Behavior: You will agree to the understanding that The Abinger Cookery School reserves the right to send a participant home in the event of what is deemed to be inappropriate behaviour. You will acknowledge that there will be no obligation to refund any course fees, and any additional costs incurred as a result of the participant being sent home may be passed on to the participant/parent/guardian.
- Smoking/Alcohol: You will confirm your understanding that smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises and that alcohol is not permitted to be brought onto the premises.
Photo Consent: You will be asked to consent to photo images being taken during the course. You will be confirming that you understand these images will be used solely for advertising The Abinger Cookery School’s courses, on their social media platforms, and on their website.
- Damage/Breakages: You will agree that any breakages or damage caused by you during the course must be reported to a member of staff. You will also acknowledge that you are responsible for covering the cost of any necessary repairs or replacements.
- Residential Stay (If Applicable): If you are staying on the premises as part of the course, you will be agreeing to the following: You will be provided with keys to the building, and if you choose to go out in the evening, you must return by 11 pm. You will be liable for the cost of any key replacement should you lose the provided keys.
- Car Parking (If Applicable): If you are driving to the course, you will acknowledge that cars are parked in the school car park at the owner’s own risk. The Abinger Cookery School will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles parked on the premises.
