Do you have a budding chef in your family? Then our half–day Children’s Cookery Class could be just the course for them.
Ignite your child’s passion for cooking.
This course is suited for children aged 7 and above.
Come and join us in the kitchen during the school holidays for a fun morning of cooking. Even if your child has yet to become a keen foodie, this class might be a great way to ignite their passion for cooking. Our half-day course promises to be hands-on, good fun and most of all yummy – you’ll pack a lot into the course and cook both sweet and savoury dishes.
Please note, this course is suited for children aged 7 and above. Children aged 7 – 13 must be supervised by a parent who is also participating in the course (therefore the cost would be £60 per child and £60 per adult). Children aged 14 and above will be able to attend the course on their own. Should you require any further information about the course please do contact the office.
Children’s Cookery Classes run twice a day. The first one runs from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and the next one is from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
All courses are taught by our chefs, Jake Pinn and David Frear. Our school is positioned in Abinger Hammer, a delightful and picturesque village in the heart of the Surrey Hills. The school provides each student with a fully equipped kitchen and all necessary ingredients and equipment. We believe in hands-on, practical teaching – so be prepared to roll up your sleeves!

Florence and I had a fantastic morning learning to cook handmade ravioli and raspberry soufflé. Jake takes just the right tone with the children, so patient and answering all questions! He explains every step so clearly, including how and why and what difference techniques make to the taste of the food – I learnt a lot as well! The atmosphere is very relaxed and the meal at the end of the lesson was exceptional! This is my 3rd visit to Abinger Cookering School and I cannot recommend it enough for great quality fun and time spent with your child!
